DIMAPUR, AUGUST 10 (MExN): The sub-committee for working out the modalities for gradual re-opening of shops in Dimapur district has submitted its report to the district administration. In pursuance of the order dated August 8, the sub-committee conducted a meeting in the chamber of the Administrator, DMC.
The report which was submitted to the Dimapur DC, suggested timings for opening of retailers and whole sellers. It also suggested opening of certain categories of shops on certain days. The report recommended keeping closed establishments like salons, parlours, barber shops, dine in restaurants and eateries. It however suggested permitting home deliveries from food outlets and dine in restaurants.
The report was also in favour of allowing vegetable sellers only in colonies and villages, and not daily markets. It meanwhile stressed on the need for proprietors of shops and establishments to follow all health and safety protocols as prescribed by the government.
With regard to re-opening of market complexes which offer limited scope for enforcing social distancing like Hazi Park, (Hong Kong Market), New Market, Millennium Market etc, the sub-committee has forwarded the detailed modalities for their re-opening. It therefore viewed that only after receiving approval of government may re-opening of these categories of markets be proceeded.
