Sufficient rice stocks in Nagaland, says FCI

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Food Corporation of India (FCI) Nagaland Region has 43,111 Metric Tons (MT) of rice in stock which is sufficient to meet the requirements of Nagaland State. Informing this in a press release on Wednesday, the FCI Regional Officer, Dimapur stated that there was no procurement of rice/paddy in the year 2022. To meet the needs of citizen in the State of Nagaland, Government of India has allocated approximately 27,000 MT rice for the month of October 2022 through different schemes i.e., NFSA (National Food Security Act), PMGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana), and other welfare schemes, it added.
