Re-dedicating the brotherhood between Sumi and Chakhesang to God, the Sumi & Chakhesang Brotherhood Fellowship took place here today at Sumi Baptist Church Kohima.
The Sunday service programme was held under the aegis of Sumi Hoho Kohima and Chakhesang Hoho Kohima.
Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, Senior Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister’s Hill Kohima, who was the speaker, called upon the two tribes to rededicate themselves to God and also to ask forgiveness for any misgivings in the past.
Chakhesang Hoho Kohima President, Theja Therieh shared greetings. Therie said the brotherhood between Sumi and Chakhesang should continue to be strengthened and the two should care for each other both in good times and even in difficult times. He also encouraged to continue helping each other and be an example in uniting all the Nagas.
Dr. Vinito Chishi, President, Sumi Hoho Kohima welcomed the guests at the programme, where Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) President, Kekhwengulo Lea was also present.
The service was led by Kitoshi Kiba, Associate Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church Kohima.
The service was followed by brotherhood feast hosted by Sumi Baptist Church Kohima and Sumi Hoho Kohima.
