Zunheboto, February 18 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho during its consultative meeting on Friday resolved on the theme ‘unity’ the year 2022 for all the Sümis, and reaffirmed the ‘unification’ of SBAK Aozuto and SBAK Nito Mount.
The hoho during the meeting held at Sumi Hoho Ki on February 18 resolved to conduct Sumi population enrollment; to revive handicrafts through competitions where winners will be awarded citations and other opportunities; to pursue good roads, better health facilities, an ITI office, B.Ed, Science and Commerce stream in Zunheboto district and NPSC examination centre.
Earlier, the Sumi Hoho organised a felicitation programme for Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo on being conferred IAS and newly elected SKK President. Representatives from Constituent unit, representatives from 7 constituencies and sub units attended the occasion, stated a press release.
Sumi Kukami Hoho, President, Kashito Yepthomi lauded the DC for having been the “longest serving Deputy Commissioner ever of Zunheboto District.” He encouraged the newly elected president of SKK and the outgoing SKK president to coordinate with each other.
DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo IAS in his speech lauded the Sumi frontal organisations for being very strong and cooperative. SKK former president, Hutoshe Kits and newly elected president Katho Awomi also delivered greetings.
Earlier, the Sumi Hoho executive held a prayer and fasting led by SABAK Associate Pastor, Akito V Swu.
