Symbios Auto’s new Ashok Leyland dealership opens in Chümoukedima

India’s second largest commercial vehicles manufacturer, Ashok Leyland opened a new dealership at Seithekema C, Chümoukedima on February 16 through the partnership with Symbios Auto. The outlet was inaugurated by Minister for Road and Bridges (R&B), G Kaito Aye in the presence of Prabir Kumar Mandal, Zonal Manager-East Zone of Ashok Leyland and other company officials. 

This will be the 34th Ashok Leyland service touch point in the Northeast region and the second in the state of Nagaland. 

In address to the gathering, Aye noted this momentous occasion marks a significant milestone not only for the company but also for the state. “Ashok Leyland has long been known for quality, reliability, and innovation in the automotive industry and today we are also celebrating the positive impact this dealership will have on the people of Nagaland,” he said. 

Moreover, the R&B Minister noted on the importance of consistency in delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality which will be key to building trust and loyalty among customers.

“I urge the dealership to prioritize the establishment of excellent servicing facilities. Ensuring that customers receive timely and efficient maintenance and repair services will not only enhance their overall experience but also contribute to the longevity of their vehicles,” he added.


At the same time, the Minister mentioned that as Nagaland state has recently reached 60 years of existence within the union of India, during this time, the ongoing Naga political issue has affected the development of the state. In spite of that the Central government has continued to provide infrastructural development to the state which has helped opened doors for investment and other economic opportunities. 

“We have to take the opportunity when companies, industrialists and firms come to invest in the state,” he said. 

In his keynoted address, Prabir Kumar Mandal, Zonal Manager considered that Nagaland is one of the most important Northeastern states for the company. Having reached 75 years of existence, he stated that Ashok Leyland’s focus has always been on providing state of the art products, good support and services. We are honoured and privileged for this partnership and I am sure this outlet will provide the best services, support to the customers,” he said. 

In regard to the new dealership, Amarjit Mech, Assistant General Manager (AMG) reported that outlet consists of the engine assembly, tool room, lube room, electrical room warranty room and the unit assembly. Called the 3S Dealership, it stands for “Sales, Service and Spares,” he said. 

The building also has service reception and spares facility which includes- works manager, customer lounge, leyparts workshop counter, warranty room, training room and pantry. 
“We also have 24x7 breakdown services, lunch for drivers and handymen for drivers who come for their services,” he added. 
Company officials also revealed that future expansion are planned to be made at Mokokchung and Kohima as well.
