Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): An awareness talk on “Pregnancy Related Issues” was held at 14th Battalion Assam Rifles, Tsiesama, on December 15. Dr Thejavinuo Keditsu, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, delivered the lecture followed by an interactive session, which was attended by 75 women, stated a press release.
The 14th Battalion Assam Rifles, Tsiesama has around a 100 families living within the camp with 25 expecting women, who greatly benefited through this interaction, it informed. The lecture was part of the WHOLE Project (Women’s Health, Oncology, Lifestyle Endeavour) of Dr K & T Keditsu Foundation, it said. The lecture started in 2017 with the objective to educate women about basic health and hygiene, pregnancy-related issues, warning signs of women-related diseases specifically cancer, and to promote a health seeking behavior, it added.
The Foundation has in the past two years collaborated with various local organizations and Women Groups to further these objectives.
