Tetso College remembers Dr Ambedkar

Students with faculty of Tetso College after the commemoration of the 63rd death anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.

 

Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): In commemoration of 63rd Death Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, a gathering was carried out at Residency Boys Hostel, 5th Mile, Sovima Village, Dimapur. 


The gathering was a collective step taken by undergraduate students and a professor of Political Science Department of Tetso College, Dimapur to promote and spread awareness about Dr BR Ambedkar's thoughts and philosophy. 


As part of the event, Mosa Sangtam, a 4th Semester student of Political Science in his opening remarks spoke about the life led by Dr Ambedkar.


He also spoke about how Ambedkarism has played an important role in transforming his life. He held that Dr Ambedkar’s message of – Educate, Agitate, Organize should encourage students to be the architect of their own destiny and also the Nation. 


Professor Dr Aniruddha Babar, Assistnat Professor, Department of Political Science, Tetso College spoke at length about the thoughts and philosophy of Dr Ambedkar and encouraged the students to work selflessly and relentlessly for the betterment of the society; to show the vision where there is no vision. He also spoke about the relevance of Ambedkarism in the individual as well as mass struggle of people for justice and self-respect.  


Discussions were held on the possibility of Ambedkar's thoughts discourse in the present society. 


The program was led by Panglem Konyak, 4th Semester student of Political Science and was attended by 7 students from Department of Political Science, Tetso College.
