Three women from Nagaland complete Academy for Women Entrepreneurs prog

Top 25 selected women entrepreneurs from Northeast India, who were part of the US Consulate General Kolkata-led first AWE Program in India were given their AWE completion certificates on November 13.

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): Three women entrepreneurs from Nagaland including Tasang Imchen of Expression Life, Imliben Lemtur of Monalisa Business Solutions and Vishü Rita Krocha of PenThrill Publication were among those who completed the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Program, funded by the US Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs. 

They were among the Top 25 selected women entrepreneurs from Northeast India, who were part of the US Consulate General Kolkata-led first AWE Program in India. They were given their AWE completion certificates by Melinda Pavek, Consul General, US, Consulate General Kolkata on November 13.

This is the first batch of AWE graduates in India with representatives from the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland. They have earlier completed the Dreambuilder Course through a structured online education from the University of Arizona's Dreambuilder course that took off during November 2020. 

The women entrepreneurs also participated in a business pitch session for which the Jury Panel included Fullbright Scholar & Professor, University of Calcutta, Sharmistha Banerjee, Ravi Ranjan, Founder, Starting Up With Ravi Ranjan and Curator, Business Advisor and Project Lead, Shark Tank India, Pragya Chopra, Executive Director, iLEAD Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development, Arijit Bhattacharya, Founder and CEO, Virtualinfocom, and Sanjukta Mukherjee, Director, Optima Solutions Consulting & Founder Trustee, Sustainable Design Research Consortium.
