Pughoboto, November 16 (MExN): The second day of the 4th Edition of Thuwuni Festival was celebrated with Director, Land Resource Department, Hoto Yeptho at Pughoboto town on November 16.
Hoto acknowledged the organisers and shared on the importance of the Hornbill festival and Thuwuni festival, stated a DIPR report.
First female Indian Idol, Sourabee Debbarma performed a Hindi song on the first day of the Thuwuni Music festival at Outdoor Stadium, Natsumi. The second day also witnessed indigenous and traditional games competition displayed by different villages under Pughoboto Sub division. Prajen Panantang, Artiste from Thailand presented Thai Folk Music. In the Spear Kick competition, Veqheho from Mukalimi who kicked 6 ft. 9 inches took the first position while the second place went to Toka from Shesulimi.
In Alao Game competition, Nihoshe and Vitolu from Iqhanumi village bagged the 1st and 2nd position respectively, and third were bagged by Viqheho, from Mukalimi village.
Other games competition included on the second day were basket making, bag weaving, traditional female game, greased pole climbing etc. All the winners during the three day festival will be awarded cash prizes.
