Total lockdown in Tening subdivision from May 14

Tening, May 13 (MExN): A total lockdown has been notified for Tening Sub-Division with effect from 6.00 pm on May 14 to May 21, following the State government’s directive enforcing total lockdown to contain the surge in COVID-19 cases across the State.

As per a DIPR report, all activities and movement of person(s)/ individual shall be suspended during the lockdown period except the following permitted activities:

•    Movement of vehicles carrying essential commodities / food items and medical supplies and equipment.

•    All health care facilities, pharmacies, movement of health care workers including those for animal healthcare, COVID-19 vaccination, COVID-19 testing and medical emergencies.

•    All officers and staff working under District Administration , Police, Medical department, Food & Civil supplies, IPR, SDRF, Banks, Social Welfare Department, Anganwadi Services, LPG services, distribution and transportation, PHED, Power Department, Private water tankers, Telecom service provider.

•    Agriculture and allied activities and ongoing construction works will be allowed subject to the contractor/ owner ensuring adherence to COVID-19 appropriate and no new labourers to be brought from outside.

•    Essential stores like vegetables, groceries, fuel outlets, local groceries, meat and fish vendors, electronic and hardware stores to remain open from 6.00AM till 12:00 noon.

•    Funerals service limited to not more than 20 persons with adherence to Covid-19 SOPs.

•    Hotels, restaurants and tea shops to remain closed.

All places of gathering are to be closed and all social/political sports/entertainment/academic/cultural religious functions are barred except for solemnization of weddings with prior permission from the Sub-Divisional Task Force limited to a maximum of 20 (Twenty) persons.

Movement of all private and public transport vehicles shall be suspended except for medical emergencies with occupancy of 50% and COVID-19 appropriate behavior.

All other cases shall require special permission from SDTF.

Government vehicles whose movement is required for the departments   mentioned shall be allowed subject to production of valid ID cards on demand.

Any person/group of persons acting in violation of this order and COVID-19 SOPs enforced by the Government shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provision of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the ADC notified.
