Tourist activities suspended under Fakim, Thanamir, Dzüleke jurisdictions

Kohima, March 19 (MExN): In the interest of the public and the residents of Fakim and Thanamir village, the Ecotourism Board of both Fakim and Thanamir village along with their village councils have decided to temporarily suspend all tourist activities and entry of domestic, international and local tourists under the jurisdiction of Fakim and Thanamir to prevent and control the spread of COVID- 19 with effect from March 20 until further notice.


“We seek the kind cooperation of all concerned individuals and travelers. The inconvenience is deeply regretted and we look forward to welcoming visitors when it is safe for everyone to travel,” a release received here stated.


This was stated in a joint release issued by Hanruthong, chairman Fakim Village Council, Tsumongthong, chairman Fakim Ecotourism Board, Tsechimong, chairman Thanamir village council and Tseseki, chairman Thanamir Ecotourism Board.


Further, as a precautionary measure to prevent and control the spread of the COVID- 19 and in the interest of the public and residents of Dzüleke Village, the Dzüleke Ecotourism Board and Dzüleke Village Council also resolved to temporarily suspend all tourist activities and entry of domestic, international and local tourists under the jurisdiction of Dzüleke village.


This will be effective from March 20 until further notice, according to a release issued by Vitsipielie, chairman Dzüleke Village Council chairman and Avi Khate, chairman Dzüleke Ecotourism Board.
