MoU for Metro cable public transport in Kohima

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN): A tri-partite MOU was signed today between the Government of Nagaland, (Transport Department), Leading Edge Adventures & Airparks Pvt. Ltd. and Rangarsons Resources, New Delhi in the residential office of Chief Minister in the presence of Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister and P.Dako Phom, Parliamentary Secretary, Transport.  According to a press note from Chief Secretary Lalthara, the MOU is for the purpose of setting up of metro cable for public transport in Kohima.  

According to the press note, the metro cable for public transport is considered to be one of the best options for providing alternative transport system to the commuters of Kohima town who are facing problems of traffic congestion every day. It was informed that this kind of project has been successfully implemented in some South American and Middle East countries.  

The fund for the project will be accessed from the Govt. of India or foreign funding agencies through the help of Rangarsons Resources who will act as adviser for the project. The actual implementation of the project will be jointly done by North East Infraprojects Pvt.Ltd. and Leading Edge Adventures and Airparks Pvt.Ltd., New Delhi.
