Training on COVID-19 for health workers held in Peren

District officials along with the participants during the training for COVID-19 held at CHC Jalukie, Peren District. 
 

Peren, March 21 (MExN): Training on COVID-19 for medical officers and health workers was held at Conference Hall, CHC Jalukie, Peren District on March 20. 

The training was attended by the medical officers and nurses of all the health units under Peren District including IDSP staff, NHM staff, IEC personnel private nursing homes Jalukie, 9th IR Battalion and Assam rifles under Peren District. The resource person for the Training was Dr Imnuk, Epidemilogist IDSP, Dr Kevi Meyase, DVBPO/DSO and Dr Kekhrie MD, MO DH.

Dr Denis Hangsing, CMO gave the welcome and keynote address.

The training included topics on Global/India update and epidemiology, risk assessment, cluster containment strategy and community surveillance, Infection prevention and control standard precautions and additional precautions, Lab surveillance (including sample collection, packaging, transport and lab testing). 

The training also included clinical case management, demonstration- donning and doffing of PPE, hospital preparedness and non pharmaceutical intervention, information management, methodology and next steps and conclusion. The training also included practical sessions.
