TTC issues directive over ENPO-FNTA process, impersonated executives

Kiphire, October 2 (MExN): The Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC), during a meeting held at its headquarters in Kiusam Town on October 1, 2026, has issued a strict directive concerning internal tribal matters and the ongoing Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organization (ENPO) Frontier Naga Territorial Authority  (FNTA) process.

Reaffirming a resolution passed during the ENPO CEC meeting on August 11, 2026, at Chen village, Chumoukedima, the TTC reiterated that individuals or entities obstructing or prolonging the FNTA process will be held directly accountable.

The council stated that persons operating under a self-styled, impersonated group using the TTC letterhead, led by R T Kius and associates, will be held responsible for any sabotage rather than ordinary citizens.

The TTC recalled that the self-styled executive group led by R T Kius was declared null and void during a consultative meeting of frontal organizations and village councils on September 1, 2026.

While noting that several villages have already initiated positive action against the individuals involved, the council has redirected all Tikhir villages to take stern action before October 9, 2026. Failure to comply will render the concerned individuals and defaulting villages accountable for obstructing the ENPO-FNTA process.

Furthermore, the council prohibited any media engagement––via print, television, or YouTube channels—regarding its legitimacy or interim council representatives to the FNTA, cautioning that violators would be acting in their self-interest.

Additionally, a show-cause notice has been served to R T Kius and his co-signatories, directing them to appear at TTC headquarters in Kiusam or face disciplinary action.
