
Zunheboto, November 14 (MExN): The Zunheboto Town Two Lane Monitoring Committee (ZTTLMC), National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) and Madhucon Pvt Ltd have taken certain decisions with regard to two-lane road construction in Zunheboto Town area on November 13.
The decisions were made at a joint meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto Peter Lichamo at the DC’s Official residence on Saturday.
According to the ‘Meeting Minutes’ of the joint meeting, it was decided that No Objection Certificate/Undertaking from the affected land or property owners for demolition drive for widening of road (uncompensated properties) would be issued to the company (Madhucon Pvt Ltd) through ZTTLMC.
It was also decided that the NHIDCL and Madhucon Pvt Ltd will provide Machineries and labourers to the ZTTLMC for demolition of properties in town area, it informed.
The demolition drive will be carried out in the presence of the District Administration, police and public leaders of the area, it said.
The damaged steps will be restored as per the surface level of the road, it added.
With regard to the road stretching from NST Junction till Servicing Centre as well as the stretch near NCRC Church, the ZTTLMC assured the company that it would produce NOC from the concerned land owners for demolition of already constructed drainages and construct new drainage, the meeting decided.
The ZTTLMC insisted on the widening of road within the town area (6 Km) wherever feasible, it added.
The ‘Meeting Minutes’ was appended by DC Zunheboto; SDO (C) Zunheboto, Athrong; Convenor ZTTLMC Shitoto Zhimomi; Pradosh Moharana, Mananger NDIDCL; PM, TTC Satya Narayana; and Team Leader, Sanjay Kumar.
The ZTTLMC on November 10 had served an ultimatum to the NHIDCL, Madhucon and contractors to start works for road widening at the Zunheboto town area before November 13.
