Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Regional Transport Authority, Kohima has fixed the two wheelers taxi fare at Rs. 20 from the origin to the first point and additional rs.10/-for each subsequent point.
The RTO in a press release stated that any taxi driver or rider charging more than the prescribed fare may be reported in detail with vehicle number, date and time to the RTA for necessary action as per MV Rules and Act. Every taxi driver and rider should carry or display fare chart at all times, defaulters will be penalized.

Taxi hire and fares in Kohima fixed
The Regional Transport Authority, Kohima has also fixed the taxi hire and fares to important tourist destinations in Kohima.
All hire charges are for both ways. The halting charges are fixed at Rs. 120 per hour while fare within the town is fixed at Rs. 25 per passenger. The RTO has also informed that senior citizens and physically challenged can avail 50% discount only on fare.
