UCO Bank holds Resource, MSME, Retail and Agriculture Carnival in Tinsukia

Jorhat, AUGUST 11 (MExN): UCO Bank organised a customer meeting under its Resource, MSME, Retail and Agriculture Carnival at Tinsukia on August 10, with General Manager Sreenivasa Rao Kambhampati from the bank's Head Office, Kolkata, in attendance.

Branch managers from UCO Bank branches in and around Tinsukia, along with existing and prospective customers, participated in the event. 

The carnival was aimed at providing eligible new and existing customers with loan facilities based on their requirements and eligibility, with the stated objective of supporting business expansion, employment generation and economic development, informed the UCO Bank in a press release.

Inaugurating the event,  Jorhat Zonal Manager Narendra Pratap Singh highlighted the bank's customer services and commitment to the socio-economic development of Assam. He also briefed participants on cyber security precautions.

According to the bank, the Jorhat Zone has sanctioned more than Rs 259 crore in loans to 3,600 beneficiaries under the ongoing campaign during 2026-27 so far.

Resources Head Achajya Sonowal, Chief Manager, outlined various savings products offered by the bank, while Nishant, Chief Manager, gave a presentation on MSME and retail loan products, emphasising the role of MSME financing in employment generation and economic development.

Addressing the gathering, GM Kambhampati highlighted the bank's performance during the first quarter of 2026-27. He said UCO Bank had recorded deposits of more than Rs 3.32 lakh crore, advances exceeding Rs 2.72 lakh crore and total business of more than Rs 6.05 lakh crore.

He said UCO Bank was conducting the Resource, MSME, Retail and Agriculture Carnival across the country and offering various loan and deposit products. 

Kambhampati also highlighted the bank's digital banking facilities, stating that customers can apply digitally for products including housing, car, personal, education and vehicle loans, as well as loans against term deposits.

The bank stated that 30 asset products and five liability products had been implemented under its digital journey.

The meeting concluded with the collection of suggestions and feedback from customers regarding the bank's services.

Branch officials including Abhishek, Branch Head, Tinsukia; Shravan Kumar, Assistant Branch Head; Biplab Sardar, Branch Head, Rangagora Road; Tapendu Bhattacharjee, Branch Head, Digboi; Ajay Chauhan of RLST and Sujan Saha of MLST were also present.
