DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 1 (MExN):The United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students’ Association Manipur (ANSAM) and Naga Women Union (NWU) have appealed to all the communities in Manipur State and beyond to “kindly acknowledge and support the Indo-Naga peace talk.”
In a joint press statement issued to Newmai News Network tonight, the three organizations has earnestly appealed all peace loving people in the State of Manipur to support for a durable peace in the region and the state in particular for, 'peace is universal'.
They also appealed all the Naga people in Imphal valley in particular to stay calm and not to feel "panicky because there are many right thinking civil society organisation leaders and individuals in the state who are responsible and matured enough to understand for the good of all communities."
The three organisations also cautioned the public not to "rely and trust" any form of rumours spread out from some social media and other "baseless" sources.
