•-As appeared in local dailies “High Level Committee to review the reservation policy”. How many more High Level Committee need to be constituted to review the reservation policy to make some tribes realized that they are no longer backward. For instance at least three High Level Committee had been constituted to review the backward status of a particular tribe, where each one of the committee had said that that the particular tribe is no longer backward economically, socially or educationally, yet that particular tribe refused to accept the finding of the three High Level Committee. Even the present Chief Secretary of the Government of Nagaland had once said that the particular tribe is no longer backward in terms of economically, socially or educationally but had to retract his statement under political compulsion. So its no point to again constitute a High Level Committee to review the reservation policy, if some so called backward tribes(excepting the Eastern Nagaland student Federation ) cannot accept the fact that they are no longer backward. Is it that the particular tribe will only accept any High level Committee finding only if it suits them and is to their advantage?
