DIMAPUR, JANUARY 18 (MExN): United XI and Vikings Sports Club won their respective matches in the 6th Unity Cup on January 18.
United XI defeated Gorkha XI by 28 runs in the first match of the day, which was graced by Manoj Shrestha, President of Chümoukedima Gorkha Youth as the match patron.
Batting first, United XI scored 119 runs in 20 overs. Katohang was the highest scorer with 23 runs.
Chasing the target, Gorkha XI CC fell short of 29 runs and were bowled out for 91 runs. Padam of United XI was adjudged as the man of the match for his 13 runs knock and 3 wicket haul.
In the second match, Vikings Sporting Club beat Dhansiri CC by 29 runs. The second match was graced by Hokali Robert, Women Pastor of Chekiye Baptist Church Dimapur as the match patron.
Vikings Sporting Club batted first and scored 105 runs in 20 overs. Mhathung was the highest scorer from Vikings Sporting Club scoring 23 runs.
Dhansari CC fell 29 runs short of the target as they were bowled out for 66 runs. Mustafa of Vikings Sporting Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his 4 wicket haul.
