DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): As per the decision taken in its general meeting on May 10, the Urra Area Village Council has been renamed as ‘Urra Area Villages’ Union (UAVU) informed Durga Sharma, Secretary UAVU and Nungotso, Information and Publicity Secretary in a release. The villages covered by the jurisdiction of Urra Area Villages Union are Kiyeto, Bade, Urra, Razaphe, Vidima, Merishe, Tsithrongse, Deizephe, Singrijan, Khapanala and Sangtamtilla stated the release.
The union has also elected its office bearers with Velasüzo as the president, John Sangtam as Vice president, Durga Sharma General Secretary, Maril as Joint Secretary, S.Hosheto Zhimomi Finance Secretary and Kevingulie and Nungotso Medeo as the Treasurer and Information & Publicity Secretary respectively.
