Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): Amul, one of the world’s largest milk processors, opened its first Amul Preferred Outlet (APO) in Dimapur on December 3.

The Amul ice cream parlour located in Midland, Dimapur is the brand’s first franchisee outlet in Nagaland and the APO will exclusively offer the entire range of Amul’s dairy products – from milk powder to yoghurt to butter to chocolates to ice-cream.

For Charles Ezung, proprietor of the outlet, says choosing to open an Amul outlet was an easy choice. “The brand is well known,” he said.

Known for its “utterly butterly delicious” dairy products, Amul is a household brand with its products available in almost every local grocery shop across the state.

Another factor was its pricing. “Amul ice-creams are very affordable,” he said, explaining that a scoop of ice-cream costs about Rs. 40. “For students and even parents looking to take their kids out, it is much easier on their pockets,” he added.

Amul’s products at the outlet are affordably priced with milkshakes and buttermilk ranging from Rs. 10 to Rs. 30 while chocolates range from Rs. 100 to 200. Also available are milk powder, butter and a host of other Amul dairy products.
