VC assures to look into SETAM issues

Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): The new Vice Chancellor of Nagaland has ‘promised’ to ‘look into all the problems’ facing the students of School of Engineering & Technology and Management (SETAM) in Dimapur. Vice Chancellor Dr. Bolin Kumar visited SETAM on September 22 and “looked through every aspects of the campus and had meetings with SESU executives as well as with the faculty members,” the institution’s students’ council informed in a note today appended by Sumit Paul, information secretary.
The students’ council aired their grievances to the Vice Chancellor. The demands are increase in the number of permanent faculties, revision of the fee structure, hostel facilities, a permanent SETAM campus and “regarding practical.” The vice chancellor discussed the problems and showed his concern, promising to look into the problems at the earliest, the students’ council informed. “The students have a great hope and expectation that at least from now the problems will start solving. In addition the students of SETAM would like to wish the new vice chancellor a great tenure and wish him success,” the note said.
