Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The Western Angami Public Organisation (WAPO) on Saturday urged the M/s Gayatri Projects Limited firm assigned to execute the construction of 4 lane National Highway 29, to complete the project on time.
In a press release, WAPO Vice President, Rokovito Kithshu stated that the Organisation has been observing the performance/development and progress in its jurisdiction and took cognizance of the “hardships and difficulties faced by the firm in executing the work due to natural hindrances.”
“In this regard the office had deliberated about it and also the failures of the firm and therefore approached the concerned authority of the ongoing works for quality workmanship and time of completion within the jurisdiction,” the WAPO press release stated. “The M/s Gayatri Projects Limited officer in charge assured the team with quality workmanship and to complete the work by the end of May 2020,” it said.
As such, the WAPO team reposed its trust on the firm, assuring to extend its support and cooperation for execution of the work to be completed within the time frame. In return, the Organisation urged the firm to “diligently carry out the project with all sincerity in abiding by the contracted specification of the Ministry of Roads, Transport & Highways, Government of India.”
In the event of any disturbance or disruption of the ongoing project, the Organisation shall deal with such elements with all seriousness, it said. However, on failure to complete the work within a reasonable period of time, “the WAPO will not remain a silent spectator nor tolerate any lame excuses but shall be compelled to take its own course of action,” the press release stated.
