Manipur state is well experienced to bear the hard times due to intensity of agitations like strikes, bandhs or what ills time to time. For some days the Kukis Sardar Hill District Demand Committee called an indefinite bandh on NH-39 and NH-53. Now the Naga apex body of Manipur, so-called UNC had started an indefinite bandh on NH-39, NH-53 and NH-150. According to my opinion this bandh is invited by Meiteis or O. Ibobi’s government, because they are twisting the two communities.
While the Kukis called bandh the Manipur government never sends the state forces to escort the vehicle to reach Imphal valley. But now the Nagas started an indefinite bandh on NH-39, NH-53 and NH-150. What will happen now to whether the Manipur government will send the state forces to escort to reach Imphal valley or not let us see/watch.
There is no any objection to create a new district in Manipur. How many districts can be created, create it! By the government of individuals like Mr. Ibobi, CM of Manipur or L Chandramani, opposition leader, whosoever it may be. But one thing you remember that, I as a Naga citizen, in my ancestral Naga’s land and also as a Naga national worker would not allow to carve my land even an inch and you should not touch my land even an inch. We the Nagas were and are peace-loving people and we want to live with peace and harmony with our neighbors and the people.
Yes, My. Ibobi, CM of Manipur and Mr. Chandramani, opposition leader, you said that the Kukis district demand is genuine, you know. So you can create district for the Kukis in Imphal valley, no problem, but not in the hills like Senapati, Tamenlong, Chandel or Ukhrul district.
