Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi graced the two-day Mimkut Mini Hornbill Festival organised by Kuki INPI Nagaland (KIN) at Molvom Village, Medziphema on January 17.
Addressing the gathering as a special guest the Governor said that good road is essential for a state and road is one of his priorities. The Governor stated that he is constantly monitoring the issues of roads. “We will build a Nagaland which we would be proud of roads, culture and together we will build a new Nagaland,” Ravi said.
The Governor, while talking about the memorandum submitted on “marginalized community in Nagaland,” added that “Nagaland has no second class citizens. No one is discriminated but everyone is equal and there is no question of marginalized or second class citizens.”
“Nagaland is a rich cultural land and heritage and it is because the Kuki also contributed to the rich land,” he stated.
Other highlights of the programme included song by Ahthibung cultural troops, traditional song by KAON, cultural dance and indigenous games and others. Around 2,500 people attended the festival.
