WhatsApp group raises over 2 lakh for COVID-19 relief

Wokha, April 10 (MExN): Pledging its strong support to the fight against COVID-19 and expressing gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha and all the frontline workers, the Lotha Mhonka Okho, a WhatsApp group donated a sum of Rs 2,16,355 towards DC’s COVID-19 Relief Fund on April 10. 

A joint statement from M Nrithung Russell Humtsoe, Convener, COVID-19 Relief Fund and RM Lotha, Chief Administrator of the Lotha Mhonka Okho who is also a Maj(retd) and co-convenor NPAC GPRN/NSCN cum Convenor NNPGs Lotha Region stated that the amount was collected from within its members and free will donors.

The amount was handed over to DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha at his official residence. The group pledged to stand by the administration in the fight against the pandemic.
