Wokha, December 19 (MExN): The 4th general conference of Wokha Humtso Elumyo Senior Youth Welfare Forum (WHESYWF) was conducted at Tiyi Hall with Dr Chumben Murry, MLA as the theme speaker.

WHESYWF was formed in the year 2016 as a general platform to discuss issues and resolve among the three neighboring villages of Wokha, Humtso and Elumyo with a common goal for the social welfare and brotherhood relationship, said  a press release from Abenthung Kikon.

Dr Chumben Murry speaking on the theme “progress through unity” urged the gathering to break negative attitude and inculcate new knowledge, understating and revive the old relationship for which the forum was established. He was optimistic in having cohesiveness upon which the forum was built. Addressing on unity, he said ‘united we stand, divided we fall,’ an old saying but applicable any day for progressiveness, while reminding all to remain humble. Dr Murry further urged to keep contributing towards the forum in shaping a strong rapport. Election for new team of office bearers for 2019-2022 tenure was conducted in the second session, led by Renchio Murry as president, Yisanbemo Humtsoe as general secretary and R Mungthungo Tsanglao as finance secretary.
