Wokha prepares to face COVID-19 pandemic

Wokha, March 31 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer Wokha, Dr CW Tungoe today informed that 933 passengers have been screened in Wokha, 145 people put under home quarantine and have 50 completed home quarantine as of March 30.

 

During the District Task Force Wokha meeting, the CMO informed that 7 locations were earmarked as quarantine places, 12 health units with 50 beds for isolation facility have been set up and 120 quarantine beds have been arranged.

 

Themeeing also discussed on alternate arrangements for patients as the district hospital prepares to handle Covid-19 cases and earmarked CMC Vankhosung as a temporary district hospital with effect from April 1.

 

The DC concluded the meeting by urging all the members to contact retired medical practitioners, medical students and nursing students as measures to meet manpower shortage.
