Wokha targets to reach 10,003 children

Wokha, January 18 (MExN): The District Task Force meeting for immunization was held at DC conference hall, Wokha on January 17. 

 


A press release issued by the CMO office Wokha stated that Dr Khelito Zhimomi, DPO (RCH/UIP) Wokha informed that the district was fully geared for the launch of IPPI with more than 200 booths and hoped to reach the target of 10,003 children below the age of five years. She further emphasized on the role of Social Welfare Department (ICDS) and School Education Department to collectively ensure the eradication of polio. 

 


Earlier, the meeting was chaired by K Mathung Tsanglao, ADC Wokha who urged the members to provide proper information for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme to be held on January 19. He stressed on surveillance and convergence for the success of IPPI programme. 

 


Dr Satya Prakash, RMO 40th Assam Rifles and representatives of Lotha Eloe Hoho also assured their full cooperation for conducting the IPPI programme in the district.
