Wokha town night carnival launched

Wokha, December 10 (MExN): SDO Civil Wokha, Chonpenthung Ezung inaugurated the ongoing Wokha town night carnival on December 9 at police point, Wokha. The carnival will continue till December 14.


A press release from Abenthung Kikon said the event was jointly organised by Wokha Circle Students' Union (WCSU) and Wokha Village Youth Organization (WVYO), where around forty stalls are set to venture in sell of local products as well as Christmas decorative products.


In the short inaugural session, special guest SDO (C) encouraged the youth to come out from their comfort zone and take up various skills and business by learning the trades.


 The SDO further called upon the youth to put heads together and focus on sustainability by capturing the market rather that occasional business, while challenging the youth to focus and see result in another 5-10 years where the question of unemployment will never exist.


He also reminded the stalls to maintain quality and not to focus on short term benefit. Longshithung C Lotha, President WCSU delivered the welcome addressed while vote of thanks was pronounced by Thungben T Humtsoe President WVYO.
