One woman was arrested by the police in a child abuse case in Dimapur. According to the Dimapur police, the accused (name withheld), an assistant professor at a Bible college in Dimapur, was arrested on October 30 based on a complaint filed by the Konyak Union, Dimapur. “She was booked on the charge of physically abusing a minor,” the police said. The child, a 10 year-old girl, was said to have been staying at the home of the accused as a domestic worker. The accused was taken into police remand for interrogation, while the child was placed in a child care home.
