With the theme, “Heal us O Lord,” the organizers have invited all willing believers irrespective of tribe or denominations to attend the festival although it is dubbed as “Sumi Healing Festival.”
Addressing media persons at the venue on Monday after a coordination meeting of all the sub-committees of the festival, its Convenor, Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi who is also the Executive Secretary of WSBAK informed that Rev. Dr. ED Citronelli of World Healing International Ministries, New York USA would be one of the main speakers besides himself.
He also informed that Pastor, Citronelli had, in the past, pronounced numerous words of blessings, prophetic foretelling and healing through the power of God particularly among the Sumis.
The Convenor extended open invitation to all interested persons from different communities irrespective of their religious affiliations to come and receive blessings and healing. He, however, added that all participants would have to make their own food and lodge arrangements for the programme.
Co-convenor of the Festival, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS said that the Festival coincides with the Ahuna festival of the Sumi community thereby striking a similarity of the harvest after months of hardship to that of the immense hardships faced by the Naga people and then to get spiritual as well as physical healing when the Naga solution is quite imminent and round the corner.
He further informed that Sumi foodstalls would be available at the venue to mark the Ahuna festival.
Prior to the co-ordination meeting, the committee members oversaw the ongoing works at the venue and expressed satisfaction at the pace of work.
