DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Akherü Arihako (YAA) has demanded immediate restoration of power supply in Pungro sub-division. An appeal to the Chief Engineer (T&G) by the YAA said the public of Pungro sub-division has been reeling under the darkness since September 14 after the transformer at Pungro broke down and is yet to be restored. It pointed out that the power supply of the entire Pungro sub-division covering 54 villages is being fed from the 2.5 MVA transformer at Pungro. It is also regretted that after a lapse of a week, the restoration work is yet to be done. In this regard, the YAA has appealed the responsible authority to look into the matter promptly.
