Phek, February 6 (MExN): The youth of Hebron-I colony, Phek town conducted its 12th general session on February 4 under the theme ‘Stepping out from comfort zone.’

 


Zachizo Venuh, Assistant Director, Information & Public Relations Kohima, Nagaland was the guest speaker.

 


Speaking on the occasion, Venuh appreciated President Kewetso Khape and his team of Hebron-I colony youth for their success in conducting the general session.

 


He said the colony has earned an exceptional reputation in town, be it in the fields of Inter-colony tournament, town cleanliness and youth active participation in different important activities.

 


Venuh also requested the youth to do away with anti-social element in the colony to keep the vicinity at ease and peaceful. He advocated the importance and benefits of smart mobile phone and use of social media in today’s trend of evolution while reminding the appalling side of outcome.

 


Colony Chairman Adu Vero, in his brief speech encouraged and called upon the youth to be watchful and give full cooperation with the welfare body for better coordination. He also urged them to lead a life of integrity and strong moral principles and make a good example for the younger generation.

 


Meanwhile, in the event, the youth competed in yodeling and wrestling competition where Kuvetho Vero emerged the winner in wrestling and the runner-up was bagged by Ripe Wetsah. In yodeling, the winner was Vehusuyi Soho and Vevoneyi Khesoh bagged the second position.

 


Earlier, the presidential address was delivered by Kewetso Khape while Toyi Swuro presented the tenure reports. Vote of thanks was pronounced by Beduhu Khamo and God’s blessings were invoked by Vepoto Riga.
