In the process of dealing with the situation, one has to be precisely diagnosing the priorities thoroughly before these habits of alcoholism could wipe out sizeable populace young and old. With this point of view the Nisha-bandhi, by various frontals had strongly urges and stresses anti-alcoholism by conducting seminars and workshops. Measures are taken by declaring prohibition against the wine sellers and drinkers by imposing fine and actions. Yet this not seemingly all wine makers and drinkers can be stopped at once. Transitional and conversion period be there, so that banning outcome desires must be by people participation with mass appraisal. It not properly dealt there is always the possibility of vigorous push-ups on young people suffering from this habit. Moreover we see lots of young and old alike are more rigorously indulged into alcohol as the bandh imposed, and many are dying for the reason. It means this prohibition is strategically and systematically not execute, surprisingly in other town and cities though the bar is on, we have neither seen heavy abuser in the streets like it is in our town, nor confronted by drunker. If we contrast such atmosphere with the position of a relatively small villages or in our small town like Senapati, a person would not dare walk alone for he would be confronted by drunkards without a reason. Is this a anthropological problem of our people? Then, from where did this start? The responsible elders, social activist, leaders have to fine out the root cause. If they forgot prevention, they will never know cure. They need to retrospect to their old good and simple ways of life, for it seem to better suit us. Not by mere prohibitory en-parte, but by special mobilization that could motivate and get mobilized and motivated at large.
The much decline in the culture values, ethical and moral standards in the community has become very serious and the thought of a leader who fails to guide our young genre in modality of absolute morality, dignity of work and eat, is still more aggravating, there is a dichotomy of life style among the people, even religious leaders, they preach honestly in the Church but also accepts prejudice in public life. There is high formal religiosity, much prayer and fasting, prophesizing in reality, lives are filled with hatred and isms. Even the social leaders have sometimes become so hypocritical that it does not have the courage to face reality.
There are some people who twist good to evil, and evil to good, who call bitter sweet and sweet bitter. Serious credit will be their fate too. It is no more a secret about today’s young people as well, unhealthy activities are confronting into our surroundings. This came out in the form of new sect.
Today, anti-social elements and business has become the most lucrative business, nevertheless the persons sells out their items like a hot-cake people live in false security. The Nisha-bandhi is already there, but the implementing functionary is impotent. To deal with various ailments of social security and to rehabilitate in every unit we have committed Youth and Students Organizations, to keep our society alive not only physiologically but moral disciplines as well, yet the situation is growing from bad to worst. All these loudly indicate that something has fundamentally gone wrong. May be this is a bleak but a true mirror of what young genre has come to be. To be precise, it is wise and trustworthy only if reliability frontals groups or individual not only just pause and think but dealt with better reasoning and feasibility so as to reason together and measures for a new better place to live in.
