YTC prepares for Tsüngkamneo Mini Hornbill Festival

Preparation under way at the venue of the Festival.

Tuensang, January 11 (MExN): The Yimchungrü community under the aegis of Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) will be celebrating Tsüngkamneo Mini Hornbill Festival, the premiere Yimchungrü winter festival ‘Tsüngkamneo’ from January 15 to 17 in Yimchungrü Heritage Village, Müntün. As per a press release from Tsongs K Yim, the inaugural session will be graced by Advisor Art & Culture & Tourism Khehovi Yepthomi as special guest. 

The second session will be graced by Minister Planning & Co-ordination & Land revenue, Naiba Kronu as special guest while the valedictory programme will be graced by Advisor SCERT, IPR & VG, Toshi Wungtong. Competition of cultural activities like Top spinning, traditional fire making, greased bamboo climbing, tug of war, mouth organ (Khungbi), crossbow (Sanglih), pottery making, Indigenous cotton spinning , Yimchungrü Naga wrestling, Khüyih ahoripü (indigenous nut game)  Shihmütang tsühachihpü (pork fat) will be held. Yimchungrü ethnic show will also be held, while The Tears of Judas band will also perform at the musical night.
