Zunheboto District Task Force for COVID-19 meeting underway at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Zunheboto town on March 19.
Zunheboto, March 20 (MExN): The Zunheboto District Task Force for COVID-19 held a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Zunheboto town on March 19. Based on the recommendations of the District Task Force, the following directives and advisories were issued in the general interest of the public under Zunheboto District:
- Pamphlets on sensitization on COVID-19 to be distributed to all concerned by the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto. Pamphlets to be signed by the concerned authorities and made ready for distribution by March 22.
- All public gatherings/meetings/seminars/sports events to be temporarily suspended in the district.
- Sub-committees will be appointed to identify Quarantine Camps in the entire district.
- DEF/AR/BSF to set up Quarantine Camps for their personnel at their own respective camps.
- The District Task Force to write to the concerned Department to provide ICU with Ventilator for District Hospital, Zunheboto as currently there are no Ventilators available in the District Hospital.
- Every Department in the District to appoint a Nodal Officer to check the sanitisation in their own respective offices.
- All the shopkeepers in the District are directed to avoid hoarding and increasing prices of essential commodities in the District.
- All the Churches in the District are requested to disseminate the information on Covid-19 to the people
- All travellers going out and in from the district will be monitored by the Sub Committees in various designated Check Points.
District Training for COVID 19 held
Meanwhile, District Training for COVID 19 was held on March 20 at CMO office, Zunheboto. Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto exhorted the participants. Dr Khehokhu Chishi, CMO, Zunheboto gave the keynote address.
Dr Hotokhu, Director (Dental), Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima reviewed about the district preparedness and situation. He also emphasized all the health workers to be in their place of posting mandatorily and need to follow up as per the guidelines set by the government. He also emphasized about the importance of COVID 19 awareness at grassroots level.
Dr Alemwapang Aier DPO (RCH &UIP) spoke on information management, environment cleaning, disinfection and bio waste management, laboratory surveillance and risk communication and community engagement.
Dr Chumdemo, Jr. Specialist, DH, Zunheboto highlighted about infection prevention and control standards precautions, demonstration donning and doffing of PPE, clinical case management, hospital preparedness and non pharmaceutical interventions.
Dr Zhekheli Chishi, Epidemiologist, DSU stressed on the global/India update and epidemiology, risk assessment and cluster containment strategy and community assessment.
The meeting and training was attended by DC, SP, CMO, Dy.CMO, DPO, DTO, Medical officers, Church leaders, ZCCI, ZRSU, STH, GB's, ZAPO, ANPSA-Zunheboto.
