Zeliangrongs condemn June 30 Inavi killings

Peren | July 1 : The Zeliangrong Student Union Nagaland (ZSUN), Beisimpuikam Village Council and Jalukie Town Youth Organization have strongly condemned the incident that took place at Inavi/ Naga United village on 30th June wherein the Chairman and Assistant GB of the village were killed and two others seriously injured apart from several damages caused by unidentified miscreants.
“Bloodshed cannot solve any issue between the Naga brothers; it is unfortunate that such barbaric incident happened in our district. We express our deepest condolence to the family members of the deceased and injured persons”, a press note from Penam Zeliang, President ZSUN stated. “The Jalukie “Town Youth Organization (JTYO) strongly condemns the incident and appealed the public to maintain calm so that communalism is nipped in the bud and effectively controlled” a statement issued by Hailamsong Mpom, President JTYO stated.
The Beisimpuikam Village Council has condemned the act in the strongest terms. “We express our condolence to the aggrieved family members of Inashe and Vekeshe Sumi. We also pray for the speedy recovery of the two injured persons”, a press note issued by the Chairman of the village council stated.
Meanwhile, ZSUN and JTYO have expressed appreciation to the District administration and the Police force of Peren District for their prompt action in maintaining law and order in area.
