
Zunheboto, November 13 (MExN): The Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board conducted its monthly meeting November 10 at DC's conference hall, Zunheboto.
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Vice Chairperson DPDB Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, the members discussed various agendas, among which, the upgradation of the Primaty Health Centre (PHC) in Akuluto to Community Health Centre (CHC) was approved.
During the meeting, EAC Akuluto presented proposals of upgradation of PHC to CHC and reverting of Sub-Treasury office at Akuluto, which was approved by the board members.
Proposal for posting of Information Assistants under DIPR at Satakha, Akuluto and Atoizu sub-divisions was presented through EAC Akuluto, Orenthung Kikon, to which the board approved and forwarded the proposal for further procedure.
The board also approved the creation of sub-centre at Lochomi village for further procedures, a DIPR report informed.
Meanehile, District & Session judge and chairman (ZDLSA), Ajongba Imchen, spoke about the Mega Legal Services Camp, which was to be held on November 13 at DC's office complex. The DC and District Magistrate Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo also appealed to the board members to sensitise the public on the benefits of the camp and reminded the departments concerned to be prepared with various public benefit schemes under their authority for the public to avail, on the mentioned day.
EAC Hq, Nyamok Konyak briefed the board members about the National Portal of e-Sharm scheme on behalf of the Labour department. Priyanka Kumar (MGN Fellow) talked about Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship scheme for skill development in the district.
AEO (Election) Nathan briefed members on Voters Services mobile app introduced by the Election Commissioner.
During the meeting, the DC gave away the Governor's Certificate of Excellence to the district level essay writing competition winners, Likupu Yepthomi of GHSS, Aghunato and Heshenoto Achumi of Woodland HSS Zunheboto, for securing first and second position respectively. The competition was organised as part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' on the topic ‘Relevance of Gandhiji's thoughts for building a peaceful and prosperous Nagaland’.
