Zunheboto, January 18 (MExN): One day district level eVIN immunization refresher training for cold chain handlers and health workers was held at Conference Hall, District Hospital, Zunheboto on January 16. 

 


Dr Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP), Zunheboto in his introduction address welcomed the participants and briefed about the objectives of the training. He motivated the participants to work with dedication and sincerity and stressed on the micro planning, recording, reporting and monitoring tools. He highlighted about the rollout plan with timelines and other guidelines and outreach for Universal Immunization Programme.

 


Kingson, SPO-UNDP, facilitated the participants on strengthening Universal Immunization Programme, recording, HMIS and eVIN reporting. He spoke on the objectives of the UIP schedules, session site and mobilization. Kingson briefed about the importance of advocacy with the stakeholders and social mobilization and stressed on capacity building of community, said a press release from CMO Office, Zunheboto, District Media Officer, Shekho Sophie.

 


Imli, Project Officer-UNDP, briefed about the cold chain and vaccine logistics management, safe handling, maintenance and management of vaccines. He also highlighted about the demonstration of eVIN Store app, SOP of mobile app and web interface revision, Online demo, resetting and troubleshooting methods.

 


The training was attended by cold chain handlers, GNMs, ANMs from health units under Zunheboto district.
