Zunheboto observes Matru Vandana Saptah 2019

Matru Vandana Saptah 2019 was observed in Zunheboto District from December 2 - 9.

Zunheboto, December 10 (MExN): Zunheboto District observed Matru Vandana Saptah 2019 under the theme "Towards Building a Healthy Nation" from December 2 – 9 under the Department of the District Welfare Officer Zunheboto. 

The eight day long programme was graced opened by EAC Zunheboto N Nyamok Konyak with the launch of MVS.

The week long programme consisted of launching of MVS, meeting of Gram Sabha (urban local bodies), enrollment days, issue resolution day, backlog clearance day, health, nutrition and sanitation day, felicitation day etc. 

The programme ended with a felicitation programme, chaired by Atoka Wotsa. Welcome address was delivered by District Coordinator Nguvito Awomi. ANW Alahuto Smti Tolika Awomi and ANW Project West Kaqheli shared their experience working as an Anganwadi worker.

Speaking at the programme as a guest speaker, Dr Shikatoli Achumi, MO expressed appreciation towards Anganwadi workers by saying that, Anganwadi workers have always rendered great dedication in all their noble deeds with the very little they receive as a wage. 

The progamme felicitated four blocks – Zunheboto block, Ghathashi block, Project East and Project West as bests among the bests. The programme ended with vote of thanks by the District Coordinator.
