Zunheboto Town Council issues advisories on COVID-19

Zunheboto, March 19 (MExN): In view of the outbreak of COVID-19, the Zunheboto Town Council administrator has issued directives and advisories in the general interest of the public under Zunheboto town:  


•    Cleanliness and hygiene are to be maintained in all public toilets and amenities.
•    All restaurants/hotels/eateries etc, are to maintain outmost cleanliness and hygiene.
•    No wild and live animals are to be sold in the market.
•    Fish, poultry and meat are to be sold only at the designated shops/locations duly authorized by Zunheboto Town Council.
•    Random butchers and meat shops are hereby strictly prohibited.
•    Rearing of pigs and poultry in close proximity to human in town areas are strictly discouraged.
•    All the wards are to maintain proper sanitation within their respective jurisdiction. Random disposal of garbage in locations beside the designated garage disposal areas are hereby strictly prohibited, strict action will be initiated against the defaulters.

•    With the government of India bringing the masks and hand sanitizers under the purview of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 till June 30th, 2020, all shopkeepers are hereby directed to keep sufficient stock of the aforementioned items. Hoarding/selling of the aforementioned items at exorbitant prices is strictly prohibited and is to be sold at the prescribed MRPs. Strict action and penalty will be initiated against the defaulters.
•    It is also advised to all to avoid large public gatherings for the time being, keeping in mind the extremely contagious nature of the virus.
