Mon, May 15 (MExN): The A team of duty personnel from Phomching Police Outpost under Mon DEF, “acting on specific input received from reliable sources” on Thursday conducted frisking and checking of vehicles in the jurisdiction at around 9:00 pm. In the process, the team seized approximately 50 gm of suspected brown sugar and arrested one suspect namely Ophei Konyak (28 yrs). “The contraband item was smuggled from Myanmar,” Longpoksang Lemtur, NPS Additional SP & PRO Mon DEF said and added that FIR to this effect has been registered and investigation is in progress.
