1,084 persons arrive in Nagaland from other NE states till date

DIMAPUR, MAY 15 (MExN): Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that a total of 1,084 persons have arrived into Nagaland till date from other North East States.

In Dimapur, a total of 1,036 people have arrived from outside the State till the evening of May 15. This includes both rail and road passengers. 

After inter-state movement was opened, 193 persons arrived in Dimapur on May 15, 184 on May 14 and 659 till May 15 evening. 

Government officials informed that the tally is likely to increase later in the night as more passengers were awaited. 
On arrival at the reception center in Agri Expo Dimapur, all the returnees filled in the necessary particulars and were screened, after which they were taken to their respective quarantine centers. 

Meanwhile, a DIPR report informed that 14 buses from Meghalaya with 333 passengers and five private vehicles with 17 passengers from Assam reached Dimapur on May 15. The report added that from day one till the filing of this report, a total of 754 persons reached Dimapur from Assam, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi. 

2,668 chose to stay back
The Principal Secretary for Home, Nagaland Abhijit Sinha also informed that a total of 2,668 citizens of Nagaland presently outside the State, have voluntarily opted to stay back at their present places, and filled up the required form on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing the one-time assistance for Rs 10,000. This was the data was of 4:30pm of May 15. 

He meanwhile reiterated that it is mandatory for all returnees from outside the State to register themselves in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland Visitors App and Aarogya Setu App. For any technical support, one may contact the toll free helpline number - 1800-345-0019.
