Chairman, Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (NBOCWWB), Dr Kekhrie Yhome today observed that urbanisation has grasped us at a fast pace it was important to be conscious of what is happening around us. 

He was speaking at the 65th Lhisemia Khel day of Kohima village observed at L Khel, Kohima Village on January 4. 

The speaker maintained that there was need for upholding values and cultures of the forefathers and at the same time highlighted the importance for need of having vision in order to have a progressive society.

Yhome expressed concern on the food security that was present ever since and which has continued to be one locally and globally. He reminded the gathering to be respectful of one another and maintain inclusivity.

Mengukhrietuo Marcus Dzuvichu, in his general secretary report informed that Lhisemia Constitution was drafted and approved, while in addition the Lhisemia and Pfütseromi (Tekhoubamia) friendship centenary celebration was celebrated on 'reviving and reaffirming the age old century friendship.

He highlighted that Lhisemia Playfield was also constructed and inaugurated. Further, he enlightened the gathering about the construction and inauguration Lhisemia gate ’Kharu’ which was done last December.

The programme was chaired by the Vice Chairman, Lhemisia council, Zapuvizo Liezietsu, invocation was led by Parish Priest, St John, the Evangelist Church, Khonoma, Dr Visosieo Vizo Solomon while Chairman, Ayie Yhome, presented the welcome address.

Report of Lhesemia gate Houdo report, building construction report, General Secretary report and Treasurer report were also presented along with special songs were presented by Dzüvingunuo Kelio, Keneisenuo Sorhie and Seyiekruonuo Yhome while vote of thanks was pronounced by Neiketuozo Suokhrie.
