75% adult population in India fully vaccinated; around 50% in Nagaland

Over 75% of the adult population in India has received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine, informed Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on January 30. 

"With the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas', India has administered 75 per cent of its adult population with both doses of the Covid vaccine. We are getting stronger in the fight against the pandemic. We have to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour and receive the vaccine as soon as possible," Mandaviya added in a tweet.

It further informed that that India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 165.7 crore doses by as on January 30, 7 AM with the administration of over 62.22 lakh in last 24 hours. 

However, in Nagaland, it was hovering around 50% with just 6,10,973 fully vaccinated in the 18 years and above category as of January 29, the daily vaccination data issued by the State Health Department informed. Altogether, a total of 1,40,9190 doses have been administrated in the State. 

The weekly COVID-19 bulletin issued January 29 by State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) also informed a total of 49% eligible beneficiaries (18 years & above) were fully vaccinated in the State.  

Update on CoWIN dashboard at 9 PM on January 30 put the total vaccination doses in Nagaland at 14,63,644.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi also lauded India’s achievement in a tweet.  

 "Seventy-five per cent of all adults are fully vaccinated. Congratulations to our fellow citizens for this momentous feat. Proud of all those who are making our vaccination drive a success," tweeted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
