The Northeast Frontier Railway Women's Welfare Organization (NFRWWO), under the leadership of its President, Shalini Shrivastava, organised a food distribution programme at Kamakhya Railway Station to provide meals and assistance to devotees arriving from different parts of the country.

The initiative was undertaken to support pilgrims during one of the region's largest religious gatherings and reaffirm the organisation's commitment to passenger welfare, the release stated.

As part of the passenger assistance arrangements, members of the N F Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides have also been deployed at major railway stations across the NFR zone. The volunteers are assisting passengers with crowd management, guidance and information services to help ensure safer and smoother travel for pilgrims.

In addition, the Commercial Department of NFR organised a food distribution programme at Guwahati Railway Station for devotees travelling to Kamakhya Temple, providing refreshments and assistance during their journey.
