Kohima, June 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM) under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, has invited Research and Development (R&D) proposals under a special multi-disciplinary initiative aimed at addressing location-specific problems in the state.
According to a DIPR report, the initiative seeks proposals across various fields of science and technology with a focus on developing solutions and products through S&T applications relevant to Nagaland.
Indigenous Naga scientists, technologists, engineers and researchers working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions or universities with adequate in-house infrastructure are eligible to apply.
The notification stated that the grant will be limited to laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment, while the project duration will be capped at two years. Proposals will be evaluated by a Technical Expert Committee, which will select projects for financial support based strictly on the technical merit of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The committee's decision will be final and binding.

Completed proposals, along with one hard copy bearing original signatures, certificates from investigators and endorsement from the head of the proposer's institution, must be submitted by post or in person to the Mission Director, Nagaland Science Mission, Directorate of Science & Technology, Below Civil Secretariat, Kohima-797004, or emailed to the same address.
The last date for submission of proposals is July 31.
