Kohima, May 13 (MExN): Amidst nationwide lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the 78 CRPF battalion, Zubza today organized a Civic Action Programme at WAPO ground Sechu-Zubza and distributed ration and food to the poor who are struggling to get single meal a day.
The 78 CRPF battalion under the leadership of Ram Chandra-2-I/C Commandant, (CCD) distributed 5000 kg rice, 100 Kg dal and other essentials and preventive items to labours of NH-2 which is under construction and villagers of Zubza without organizing a formal function in the presence of Anil Kumar Jha 2 I/C, Siva Prasad K.G. D/C, Hari Kumar S.L. D/C, Dr. Rafi Shah GDMO, Lhouveku Nuh M.O. & Venkateswar Rao, G.M. of road construction of NH-2.
The 78 CRPF battalion since its induction in Nagaland have been organizing such programmes every year and being mingled with the civilian public to share their grievances and to provide the basic amenities.
Ram Chandra-2-I/C Commandant, (CCD) expressed that such gestures would definitely enhance the bondage between the public and security personnel.
He also emphatically said that CRPF indeed is a friend for the people in need and is looking for more such programmes in the future.
He also urged the villagers to take an active part in the fight against this disease and strictly follow all preventive measure which are also of utmost importance.
